Brandon Wilson emerged victorious at the Super High Roller Bowl 2026 on October 10, winning $1,125,000 after beating Nick Petrangelo in heads-up play. The $100,000 buy-in tournament had 28 entries and produced a $2.8 million prize pool, with five players cashing.
The tournament took place at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas and featured some of the best high-stakes poker players such as Alex Foxen, Jeremy Ausmus, and Adrian Mateos.
The victory earned Wilson 400 PokerGO Tour (PGT) points and marked his sixth PGT title. Nevertheless, Wilson’s path to victory was not easy, as he barely managed to escape elimination and then take control of the final table.
Brandon Wilson’s Road to the Super High Roller Bowl XI Title
The Super High Roller Bowl 2026 lasted three days, with the final five players coming back on October 10 for the championship round.
Wilson nearly saw the end of his tourney life on Day 2, when there were only six players left, and only five would be paid.
In one hand, Wilson was in danger against Kristen Foxen; however, a favorable river card saved him from elimination. After that, Wilson eliminated Kristen Foxen right on the bubble, as he had pocket nines against her ace-eight.
Alex Foxen began the final table with the chip lead (2,870,000), while Wilson had 1,270,000, being fourth among the five remaining players.
The game-changing moment happened when Foxen went all-in with pocket tens against Wilson’s ace-king. Wilson called for his tournament life and won with two pairs, aces and deuces.
This double-up allowed Wilson to move into the chip lead and set the final table in another direction.
The first player eliminated in the final round was Adrian Mateos. This Spanish professional went all-in with king-jack, but he got outclassed by Wilson’s ace-jack, finishing fifth and getting $215,000.
Jeremy Ausmus finished in fourth place, as his queen-nine failed to improve against Petrangelo’s ace-nine.
In the next significant confrontation, Wilson and Alex Foxen were involved. Foxen four-bet shoved with pocket sevens, while Wilson held pocket eights.
Another eight appeared on the board, allowing Wilson to eliminate Foxen in third place for $450,000.
Wilson Defeats Nick Petrangelo in Heads-Up Play
Wilson started heads-up with 4,740,000 chips, while Petrangelo had 3,660,000.
Although the stacks were somewhat balanced, Wilson managed to increase his chip lead gradually.
Petrangelo wanted to add another big title to his recent achievements after he won the $150,000 Triton Jeju 10th Anniversary Special for $2.2 million.
But the last hand of Super High Roller Bowl XI turned out to be Wilson’s.
Wilson raised to 130,000 from the button with Q♠10♠. Petrangelo, holding 7♥7♦, three-bet to 500,000 from the big blind, and Wilson called.
A♦Q♣9♠ appeared on the flop, giving Wilson a pair of queens. Petrangelo made a continuation bet of 500,000, and Wilson called.
The J♣ on the turn gave Wilson an open-ended straight draw. Petrangelo bet another 650,000, and Wilson called.
Finally, the 8♥ on the river completed Wilson’s queen-high straight.
Having only pocket sevens, Petrangelo went all-in for his remaining 1,325,000 chips, and Wilson called immediately, ending the event and taking the $1,125,000 first-place prize.
Petrangelo received $700,000 for second place.

What the Victory Means for Brandon Wilson
For Brandon Wilson, the win meant his sixth PGT title and largest first-place prize in a PGT event.

The latest win by Wilson also helped him accumulate 400 PGT points and placed him in fifth place in the 2026 PokerGO Tour standings.
His career live tournament winnings have now surpassed the $17.9 million mark, reflecting his achievements in major tournaments.
Wilson’s latest performance further highlights how quickly a tournament can change, especially since he almost got eliminated before the money and then fought against the Foxens before defeating Petrangelo.
